Since I received a nice little "incentive" with my honor, we were able to purchase a new digital camera. With practice, I know that our shots will be amazing (especially for Disney). While I was at work yesturday, Ike played with the action capabilities outside with Noah.

"...OF THE YEAR.."

Yes, the hotel is a little delayed, but today we celebrated our Employee of the Year and Manager of the Year. I actually planned most of the event. To my surprise, I was awarded Manager of the Year 2008 at the New Orleans Marriott Metairie at Lakeway. It was just a shock, thrill, and overall an honor. Moreover, I was able to share the glory with the Employee of the Year, Dot Adams, my own employee!

As I reflect on this photograph, I see once again that not all the brave leave the "home of the brave" to enter battle; some are required now to be the brave of the home. It is said a picture is worth a thousand words but it leaves me speechless and tears in my eyes.

AT THE LAKE...

When the rain finally stopped, I was ready to break out the house. (I had enough of the cartoons and puzzles.) We hopped on our bikes and went up to the Lake. Noah played on the playground. Below he is listening to Poppa on the other end. Noah playing "peek a boo" with the Momma and the camera.

COUNTDOWN...

Today is my first day off in what seems like ages, I promised Ike I would deep clean the house and prepare it for Aunt Kathy visit this weekend. Of course, the second he and Noah left for work/school, I was so into my "to do"! I blasted the TV music station and began scrubbing the oven. I opened up the house (because Ike didnt buy FUME FREE spray - Oh, yeah! I am feeling...well you know). I started the laundry, put the dishes away, then the computer was calling me..."come play!" Of course, I logged in and noticed....58 days until DISNEY! I am totally thrilled and cant wait. To get into the trip and to include some Love in the air, I jazzed up our blog and changed the music to all Disney favs!

Well, 1 1/2 hours later on the computer, my "to do's" are waiting for me. I hope you are all well. I am thinking of each of you. xoxo, danos

LOVIN' THE SUN...

I got off work early today (thanks Kenneth!) and rushed home. I thought Noah was about to go down for a nap, boy I was wrong. We went and played outside. He adores his swing set that Mr Jay Dahlke gave him on his 1st birthday. He finally can climb it himself!Finally, after his SHORT nap, Noah and I went to wash my truck (with 3 trips to Mississippi in 1 week - wow, it was really dirty) He was such a big help.....then....he grabbed his bike and said it was dirty too!

Then he needed to wash his truck too! All clean!!!

Happy 4th Birthday Kyle Compretta

We had a blast today at Kyle Compretta's 4th birthday party. It was a "Dino Dig" party. Noah had a exciting time (as usual when he is around Margarette and Kyle!)

We were thrilled to see Trisha and Stephen since baby Evan was born. I adore this photo! Evan is now 2 1/2 months old.

BOYS WILL BE BOYS...

Even though the Biloxi Manuel's were sad and planning Uncle Danny's funeral, the boys needed to let off some steam! Uncle Joe and Aiden came over to play with Noah. Can you not die that Noah went from cityboy to Country hick in 12 hours??!!! Noah was hot so he took off his longsleeve shirt and left on his undershirt (that is too small), then he had his Southern Miss hat over his ohhh sooo long hair and his crocks - priceless! (these were taken with my nextel from work so they are not the greatest of quality) Noah, Poppa, and Aiden
